Travel Preparation

Preparing for travel is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming trying to get everything arranged before you depart. Here are some of the key things to consider:

Don’t forget to view our health checklist too.

Your passport will need to have at least 6 months prior to departure but should also be valid for the length of your stay.

It is advised to let your bank know when you are travelling abroad to avoid your cards being declined whilst you are away.

It is beneficial to pre-book your seats if you are travelling with young or unexperienced travellers to ensure you can be sat together.

Choosing seats can also improve your flying experience, especially for long haul flights. An aisle seat is useful for easily being able to get up and stretch your legs or access the WC. Sitting near the wings will reduce the amount of turbulence felt.

For travellers visiting Australia for a holiday it is advised to just take some travel money with you (AUS). For extended stays, you can open an Australian Bank account which may be easier for paying bills and receiving salaries from local employers.
